Scope of works

It was identified whilst conducting the routine Monthly Servicing of the combined Fire Hydrant / Sprinkler Pump system on 26/10/2023 that the Pressure relief Valve on the discharge line is passing and not locking down at 1100 Kpa as required per design parameters. This valve has failed and requires replacement. Also, due to the original design and installation, there is also no isolation valve in place to isolate this section of the pipework to further investigate and rectify without isolating the non-potable supply to the Prison Water supply system. Also identified that the valve in question is designed for agricultural purposes and not used for Fire System purposes. In order to rectify the above identified issues, we are required to conduct the following works; * Isolate the non-potable supply to the Prison after normal hours to minimise the impact of no supply water for the Prison and drain down system. * Un-bolt and remove the existing failed Pressure Relief Valve. * Unbolt and remove the existing 6-inch pipe section with sight glass. * Installation of a new 6-inch Fire designated Pressure Relief Valve (red). * Installation of a new 6 inch monitored wafer valve. * Installation of a new temporary 6-inch pipe section - Fabrication to be done by others whilst works are being conducted. New permanent pipe section will be separately fabricated with new site glass and drain installed. to be fitted at a later date once fabrication is completed. * Modifications to the existing monitor interface to the Fire Indicator Panel located in X3 to incorporate the new monitored valve to be installed (Wired in Normally closed position when valve open, open state when valve closed to indicate fault status on X3 Fire Indicator Panel). * Re-instatement of the non-potable water for the Prison on completion. * Calibration and adjustment of the new Pressure Relief Valve on completion to recalibrate to 1100 kPa as per design parameters. INCLUSIONS: • Labour during Leading Fire Services normal working hours (7.00am to 4.00pm Mon to Fri, excluding Public Holidays). • Work outside of Leading Fire Services normal working hours (as nominated above). Multiple site visits (other than those already expected and allowed for) or variations to our original scope of works, may attract further costs. • In accordance with AS 1851 – 2012 during a hydrostatic test the hydrant system pipe work is pressurized to 1.5 times the systems working pressure or the required design standards. If any unknown system defects are present, a failure of the hydrant system pipe work may occur resulting in damage to building, plant, equipment, facility, or part thereof. Leading Fire Services Pty Ltd, will be held harmless and accept no responsibility for any damage to building, plant, equipment, facility, or part thereof, as a result of any failure of the fitted Fire Hydrant System during any authorized pre-arranged Hydrostatic Test and Hydrant Flow test. We would like to thank you for considering Leading Fire Services proposal, and we look forward to working with you should our quote be accepted.
